Traditional Dress
Men: Men wore short sleeved, collarless jackets which reached a little below the waist. The color of one's jacket indicated rank, Red for chief, then blue or black for those of lower rank. For the lower body they wore a bahag, a strip of cloth wrapped about the waist and that passed between the thighs. For the head a man wore a putong. Red putong was for a man that killed another in war and a embroidered one was for a man that killed at least 7 men.
Women: A woman's dress consisted of a baro(sleeved jacket), saya(skirt)and a tapis, a piece of cloth that goes over the skirt. Both sexes wore jewelry.
Tattoos were also a part of pre-Hispanic Filipinos. Women and men both sported tatoos. Tattoos were also like war medals.
